February 2 – Ground Hog Day
On this day a groundhog awakens from a winter’s nap and goes outside to see if he sees his shadow. According to legend, if the groundhog sees his shadow there will be six more weeks of winter. But, if he does not see his shadow, spring is around the corner.
February 7 – Send a Card to a Friend Day
Today is the perfect time to send a friend some love. You can send a paper card or an Ecard.
February 13 – Galentine’s Day
Galentine’s Day is a full 24 hours dedicated to celebrating the female friendships in your life.
February 14 – Valentine’s Day
The traditions of Valentine’s Day are broad and many. Mostly it is a time to exchange cards or small gifts. Chocolates, flowers, jewelry, and romantic dinners are the big hits of this holiday.

February 15 – Susan B Anthony Day
On her birthday we honor Susan B. Anthony a famous American activist who spent her life fighting for equal rights for women. She helped bring about the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote.
February 17 – Random Acts of Kindness Day
Today perform a few random acts of kindness.
February 18 – National Drink Wine Day
This is a fun holiday and not a “Nationally” recognized holiday.
February 20 – Love Your Pet Day
People love their pets and today is an easy excuse to spend time with them and give them special treatment.
February 21 – Mardi Gras / Fat Tuesday – date varies
Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras occurs in February this year.
Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday. It is also known as Mardi Gras Day. On this day people eat all they want of everything because the next day is the beginning of Lent for Christians.
